Class temperatures are generally kept at around 70-80 degrees unless noted in the class description

Restorative with Sound Healing

Dive into a deep, dreamy space offering meditative release and restoration. While in generously propped restorative postures (you’re only in 4-5 postures during the entire practice) you receive hands-on Reiki and gentle sound healing from Tibetan singing bowls (which can be placed directly on you as well). Give yourself the precious gift of slowing down and receiving.

Radiant Flow

Flow into your day (or evening or weekend!) with a high intentional frequency. This class is a mixed-pace, mixed-level, integrative practice, drawing from varied backgrounds and approaches. We work to generate heat and self love in this practice! This is primarily a Vinyasa-style class. Using rhythm, breath, and movement we build heat, release tension, and find playful ways to bend and lean into our relationship with gravity and support. (So expect the opportunity to take an arm balance or two;-) We also allow time for absorption and meditative connectedness.

Modifications will conscientiously be offered, but please trust that your practice will be honored in whatever form it wants to take.

Some previous yoga experience is recommended for this class, and the room is heated to about 75+ degrees.

All-Levels Flow

Akasha Studio's All-Level Flow classes are hatha and vinyasa based yoga classes sequenced to connect with the breath, open and strengthen the body, and calm and focus the mind.

The personal style of each teacher makes every class unique with modifications provided for the beginner to the advanced practitioner.   The aim of these classes is to challenge each student towards a safer yet deeper level of practice wherever you are on your path.

Please notify your teacher of any illness, injury, or sensitivities prior to practice.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today.  Some call it the “other half of yoga.”

In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body.  Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees.  Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium.

As this practice emphasizes stillness and silence, Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation.

Hatha Flow

An empowering and transformative practice that offers a dynamic flow of gentle rhythm of movement, links postures to breathe to revitalize the body. Students learn to focus inward, connect with inner strength and enter a meditative state that awakens self-compassion and clears the mind. Some postures are held longer to cultivate more heat enabling the body to release and shift deeply rooted tension, ultimately creating more ease in your body and your life. All are welcome. Posture modifications are offered to meet you where you are.

Yin & Restorative Yoga

Akasha Studio's Yin & Restorative Yogs is a hybrid of Yin and Restorative Yoga.  Based on teacher sequencing and theme of the class, this class can vary as far as degree of yin and restorative postures.

You get the best of both worlds in very passive practice.  Great class for beginners and experienced practitioners alike!
